ACRYLIC AND COLLAGE WORK – from the SOUL 2025 series by Marcello Milanese – Archive 08 – unique piece – Title-BLEARG The paint splash aims to represent the soul’s interior, and the comic expression is the external mask of the human being, with its reaction to the environment. The playing cards, or the paintings in the background of some works, symbolize the interpretation of the external world: in particular, all elements were, before being applied to the canvas, hit by bullets, a symbol of real life. The use of vintage wallpaper creates a falsely comfortable space for the artistic representation. Milanese’s paintings are inner mirrors or exorcisms of fears, leaving the interpretation to the viewer.
