Luke 2:13 Messiah is designed to focus our attention on the explosion of praise in the heavens when the birth of Christ was announced to a few shepherds with their sheep. An image of Christ wearing the crown of thorns is faintly seen looking toward the cross formed by the star. The angels were not only present at His birth but will no doubt be present when He comes again to reign as our Messiah and King.
