This style anklet is used by raptor handlers and rehabilitated birds that will be released back into the wild. Removable anklets come with grommets pre-set, no setters required. Your jesses will pass through the grommets the same as a regular anklets. Please specify species and sex when ordering. We make these anklets for many species of hawks, eagles and owls. When ordering please list your species and sex of your bird in the box’s below. All removable anklets come with grommets installed. Listed below are the size grommets we will include with each pair of anklets and an idea of the size of the bird it should be used on or close to it. If you prefer a different size grommet with your anklets please list the size you prefer in the information box listed below. 3/8th grommets for very large female Red tail hawk, Ferruginous hawk, Great Horned owl, Turkey Vulture size birds. 7/16th grommets for Golden eagles, Bald eagles, Sea eagle size birds. Please also pick from the drop down menu above for your birds sex and species. All of these aklets are made from well greased cowhide leather.
