These heavy duty mountain climbing Karabiners are some of the strongest made in the world and they can hold up under great stress and hold hundreds of pounds in weight. This is why we picked them for this new quick attachment from leash to perch set up. Over the past year we had many falconers and raptor rehabilitators use these karabiners on different raptors with very good success this is why we offer them no to you. Karabiners, can be used to quickly and very safely attach your hawks, falcons or eagle and owls to falcon blocks, Portable bow perches, regular bow perches and also as quick ties in vehicles or in your hawk house. You can also use them in the field as a quick tie to your hawking vest or bag. Many falconers use them to attach there hood to there vest so they do not loose it, I am sure there are many other ways it can be used. We have done extensive testing on many brands of Karabiners and have picked these two as the strongest Karabiners made. We have used these on eagles, owls, Red tail hawks and some of the larger falcons and they worked very well. Basically to use these Karabiners as a perch attachment all you need to do is apply your falconers knot to the Karabiner and then attach the Karabiner to your perch. The Karabiner has a screw type safety screw to keep it shut, so once you attach it to your perch all you need to do is screw the lock ring shut and you are set. (Karabiner size is 3″ x 1 1/4″ wide.) 847A – Micro light weight Karabiner. Size is 2 1/4″ x 1 1/4″.
