This is a special example of a 1950’s Royal Air Force (RAF) Sweetheart Brooch. It is made from cream lucite with the white metal and enamel badge affixed to the front. The badge features the ‘Queen’s Crown’ motif – dating this to post 1953. The brooch measures just over 3cm in diameter.
